Job summary

Places Leisure, part of Places for People Group, seeks a Recreation Assistant to help maintain health and safety at the centre, carry out cleaning duties, and prepare activity areas for all planned sessions. You will ensure equipment is stored securely and work with the Duty Manager.

The role requires a friendly, approachable manner and customer service excellence. Some first aid experience is ideal, and prior experience in a similar role, with cleaning and equipment maintenance, will help you

• Friendly, approachable manner and customer service focus.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Experience with some cleaning duties and equipment maintenance would help.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety at the centre at all times, including cleaning duties.
• Prepare activity areas for planned sessions and store equipment securely when not in use.
• Work with the Duty Manager and report any concerns; carry out centre patrols.
• Contribute to safeguarding and customer service to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
