Places for People Group is seeking a full-time Recreation Assistant at Middleton Pool. The role focuses on lifeguarding (NPLQ) with additional coverage of centre activities, plus training if not yet qualified. You’ll help keep the pool area safe, support sessions, and maintain equipment.

Here at Middleton Pool we are looking for a full time Recreational Assistant who is an NPLQ qualified lifeguard, the role will mostly be lifeguarding, but also the oppurtunity to cover other areas of the centre, if you are not already a NPLQ qualified lifeguard we can provide training. As a Recreation Assistant it will be your responsibility to maintain the Health and Safety of the centre at all times including carrying out cleaning duties and preparing activity areas for all planned sessions. You will make sure all of the Centres equipment is stored in a safe and secure way when not being used. You will work alongside the Duty Manager and report any matters of concern and carry out patrols.

The successful applicant will have a friendly, approachable manner and deliver excellent customer service to our customers. You will assist with first aid when required so ideally have some experience. You will ideally have worked within a similar role. Experience carrying out some cleaning duties and maintaining equipment would set you apart from other candidates.
