Job summary

Places for People is seeking a full-time Recreational Assistant at Middleton Pool. The role centers on lifeguarding, requiring NPLQ qualification, with opportunities to cover other areas of the centre.

You will ensure health and safety, perform cleaning duties, set up activity areas, and work with the Duty Manager, reporting any concerns. Training is available if you are not yet NPLQ qualified.

Qualifications

• NPLQ lifeguard qualification or willingness to train.
• Experience delivering friendly customer service.
• Experience with health and safety checks and pool cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety at the centre at all times.
• Carry out cleaning duties and prepare activity areas for sessions.
• Store equipment securely when not in use.

Here at Middleton Pool we are looking for a full time Recreational Assistant who is an NPLQ qualified lifeguard, the role will mostly be lifeguarding, but also the oppurtunity to cover other areas of the centre, if you are not already a NPLQ qualified lifeguard we can provide training.

More about your role

As a Recreation Assistant it will be your responsibility to maintain the Health and Safety of the centre at all times including carrying out cleaning duties and preparing activity areas for all planned sessions. You will make sure all of the Centres equipment is stored in a safe and secure way when not being used. You will work alongside the Duty Manager and report any matters of concern and carry out patrols.

More about you

The successful applicant will have a friendly, approachable manner and deliver excellent customer service to our customers. You will assist with first aid when required so ideally have some experience. You will ideally have worked within a similar role. Experience carrying out some cleaning duties and maintaining equipment would set you apart from other candidates.
