Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking an Occupational Therapist on a fixed-term basis for 12 months to join the Pathway to Independence team. You will deliver person-centred assessments across the community for adults, children and carers, promoting independence and outcome-focused goals.

You will assess needs, recommend equipment and home adaptations, and develop enablement plans while collaborating with teams across borough locations, and you may be required to work occasional out-of-hours sessions.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• Experience in adult, children and carers assessments preferred.
• Flexibility to travel between borough locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality person-centred assessments for adults, children and carers.
• Recommend equipment, assistive technology and home adaptations.
• Develop and review enablement intervention plans.
• Work across the community with individuals with mental health conditions and neurodiversity.
