Job description

There are various volunteering opportunities available within North Ayrshire.

Please browse the selection below to find a suitable volunteering opportunity in your local area:

We have an ever-growing Community Network of vegans who are passionate about volunteering and promoting veganism locally.

Every month, our Network selects outreach tasks such as town centre stalls, writing to councillors or MPs, sharing campaigns on social media, or contacting local businesses. You control how much or how little you participate.

We provide volunteers with leaflets, banners, and workshops to maximize impact.

Each month, you will receive a selection of tasks from our campaign programme. As a point of contact for Advocates in your area, you will share these tasks and coordinate activities like stalls and lobbying. We supply a campaign toolkit and stay in regular contact to support you. You will also be invited to our private Facebook group and WhatsApp chat.

We expect you to provide updates and feedback on each task to help measure our positive impact, including conversations and leaflets distributed. You can also suggest ideas for future outreach and campaigns. Many Organisers find great satisfaction, increased self-esteem, and enjoy the social aspect of volunteering.

You will help welcome new Advocates, assist them in getting involved, and ensure understanding of safeguarding, data protection, and health and safety policies. Full training, a handbook, and ongoing support will be provided.

As an Organiser, you will ensure resources and actions align with branding and messaging guidelines and that Advocates understand these standards.
