Location: Dumfries Resource Centre, 8 Gordon Street, Dumfries, DG1 1EG

Would you like to make a difference to the lives of People Living with Dementia in Dumfriesshire?

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team of Community Activity Organisers within our community groups and dementia-specific day services in Dumfries. Our services are tailored to the preferences and needs of individuals, providing therapeutic activities focused on maintaining skills and independence.


Our Community Activity Organisers play a vital role in frontline support. Successful applicants will have a positive attitude towards dementia and a passion to make a difference. Good communication skills, a caring attitude, and enthusiasm are essential.

Responsibilities include supporting individuals to stay connected to their communities, engaging in hobbies and interests, accessing peer support, and developing new activities to promote brain health.

The use of a car is preferred (mileage and expenses paid).


Willingness to learn and participate in training (including SVQs) and registration with the SSSC is required. Relevant qualifications or experience working with people with dementia are advantageous.
