Job summary

Navartis Ltd invites a Community Liaison Officer for a freelance/contract, part-time role in Cheltenham/Wormington. You will act as the main bridge between the project team, local communities and stakeholders, coordinating communications and events to support a major gas infrastructure project.

You will manage correspondence, respond to queries, and help resolve issues to protect the company’s reputation while delivering clear, professional information to residents and businesses.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Community Liaison, Stakeholder Engagement, Public Relations, Communications or similar coordination role.
• Good understanding of gas, utilities, energy or wider infrastructure sector.
• Confident communicating with a wide range of people from residents to senior personnel.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills to keep multiple activities moving.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact between the project team, local residents, businesses, community groups and other stakeholders.
• Represent the company professionally, maintaining positive relationships and protecting its reputation within the local community.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, respond to enquiries and escalate to appropriate parties.
• Coordinate meetings, community engagement events, stakeholder briefings and site-related activities.
• Bring together relevant teams, contractors and stakeholders to share information and complete actions.
• Communicate project updates, planned works, potential disruption and safety information to affected communities.
