Job summary

Severn Trent is seeking a Community Fund Officer to manage funding applications from local communities, assess eligibility, sit on community panels and deliver outcomes and awards.

Based in Coventry, the role involves regional travel, 37 hours per week, and a mix of office and community work with some out-of-hours flexibility. Start date early 2027 and a strong focus on inclusive community support.

Qualifications

• Experience of administration, assessment and working within a process where accurate and evidence-based decisions are required.
• Promotion and communications experience.
• Stakeholder management experience, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of working alongside members of the public.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for Community Fund enquiries from applicants, organisations, colleagues and media team.
• Deliver a strategy to promote the Community Fund across the East of the region and attend events and workshops.
• Support and advise applicants throughout their application journey.
• Coordinate customer panel meetings and prepare documentation, advising project information when required.
