Job summary

Severn Trent plc’s Community Fund Team is seeking a Community Fund Officer to manage funding applications, assess eligibility and sit on community panels in the East region, including Hafren Dyfrdwy. Based at Coventry with 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday with occasional out-of-hours time back in lieu, starting early 2027.

The role requires strong administration, promotion and stakeholder management experience, with a driving licence and access to a car due to regional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience of administration, assessment and working within a process where accurate and evidence-based decisions are required.
• Promotion and communications experience.
• Stakeholder management experience, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of working alongside members of the public.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for Community Fund enquiries from applicants, community organisations, colleagues and the media team, providing clear and consistent information to all stakeholders.
• Deliver a strategy to improve the Community Fund’s promotion and reach and promote our Community Fund across the East of our region through events, fairs and 1:1 sessions and workshops.
• Support and advise applicants throughout their application journey.
• Coordinate customer panel meetings and prepare documentation, advising project information when required.
