Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Resident Liaison Officer in Cambridge (Cottenham) for a full-time, permanent role. You will support residents through the SHDF retrofit programme, delivering proactive communication and exceptional service across the works lifecycle.

The position focuses on clear updates, access coordination and empathetic assistance to residents. The role emphasises customer satisfaction, multi-stakeholder coordination, and a strong local presence within our retrofit team.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience with a professional, resident-focused approach.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Experience in resident liaison or similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for residents during retrofit works and provide regular updates.
• Build positive relationships and manage residents' needs and concerns professionally.
• Explain planned works, timescales and what residents can expect before, during and after works.
• Coordinate access to properties with residents and operational teams to minimise disruption.
• Support residents, including those who are vulnerable, throughout the works life cycle.
• Liaise with site teams, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve queries promptly.
• Maintain records of resident communications and appointments.
