Job summary

A community-focused housing organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Community Engagement Regeneration Officer to engage local communities and support development projects, particularly in Greyfriars, Bedford. Are you passionate about bringing people together and supporting thriving communities? bpha is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Community Engagement Regeneration Officer to play a key role in the regeneration of Greyfriars, Bedford, and other development projects.

As Community Engagement Regeneration Officer you will be:
  • Deliver community engagement for regeneration projects, with a focus on Greyfriars, Bedford.
  • Bring people together to address important local issues and co‑create regeneration proposals.
  • Engage and consult with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Gather and share community and stakeholder views to influence positive change.
  • Organise and represent bpha at public events, liaising with political stakeholders, local authorities, and partner agencies.
  • Support customers through the regeneration process, including helping with moves to new homes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all engagement activity.
  • Work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends (with flexi‑time arrangements).

Additional Information

This is a remote working position (home based), with regular travel to Greyfriars/and or the office or other locations – with a flexible approach where you can cover other areas.

Must be able to drive and have the use of the car for work.

Happy to work evenings and weekends if necessary to attend events and meetings.
