A community support organization in Truro seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead volunteer engagement and development efforts. This full-time position involves recruiting and training volunteers while developing community initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in health or social care and strong networking skills. A full UK driving licence is required, and there are flexible working opportunities.
We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join our volunteer service. You will be based in our Truro office.
You will work as a key driver of community engagement and volunteer development. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting Volunteers, Recovery Champions, Peer Mentors, and Students. You'll build strong partnerships with local agencies, coordinate placements, and lead community-based initiatives, including community hubs and social enterprise projects.You'll also manage promotional activities, oversee social investment fund processes, and contribute to the development of training packages and governance systems. Working closely with national and local teams, you'll ensure consistent support, supervision, and impactful community engagement strategies.
