We are looking for a Community Delivery Manager to join us on a Fixed Term Contract until December 31st.

The role's purpose is to focus on the final mile of the parcel journey, ensuring customer and client satisfaction. The Community Delivery Manager oversees final mile performance across delivery units, engaging self-employed and SE+ couriers, and driving continuous improvement through capacity management and round coverage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving service improvements using reports and MI with couriers in the final mile.
  • Monitoring and enhancing performance metrics like Speed of Service, Next Day, Collections, Claims, and Customer Enquiries to ensure satisfaction.
  • Minimizing enquiries by providing excellent courier engagement and communication.
  • Managing capacity by recruiting and onboarding couriers effectively.
  • Building courier and round coverage to reduce business risks and meet operational needs.
  • Motivating couriers to uphold high customer service standards.
  • Controlling costs related to courier fees and ad-hoc payments.
  • Resolving customer concerns promptly by collaborating with couriers and customer service teams.
  • Maintaining relationships within the delivery unit to ensure high service quality.
  • Ensuring health and safety practices are followed and code of conduct violations are addressed timely.

Qualifications:

  • Current UK Driving Licence

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in coaching, supporting, and motivating colleagues
  • Problem-solving skills and contingency planning

Technical & People Skills:

  • Customer-focused approach
  • Ability to adapt to different styles and behaviours
