Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a new luxury care home in Bolton. You will recruit and develop the management and care teams, establish systems, and prepare the home for its first residents, shaping care standards and resident experience from the outset.

You will drive commissioning activities, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory readiness, building strong relationships with families and community professionals while delivering exceptional hospitality and care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Home Manager within elderly care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding and governance.
• Experience recruiting and developing teams.
• Commercial awareness including occupancy development and budget management.
• Organised, hands-on leadership style and confidence managing a new service.
• Commissioning experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Leading the commissioning process and ensuring the home is ready for opening.
• Recruiting, developing and supporting a capable management, care and support team.
• Establishing robust care, safeguarding and quality assurance systems.
• Preparing for CQC registration and ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
• Building relationships with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners and the local community.
• Managing enquiries, admissions and occupancy growth while ensuring placements are appropriate.
• Overseeing budgets, staffing and operational performance.
• Creating a welcoming environment with high standards of care and hospitality.
