Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Commissioning Home Manager to lead the opening of a brand new, purpose-built care home. You will recruit and develop a high-performing team and work with the projects team to welcome residents and introduce the home to the local community.

Your role will set the foundations for an outstanding service, drive occupancy, ensure compassionate, person-centred care, and guide the home through its first inspection with a focus on quality, safeguarding and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing/opening a new build
• Community engagement and marketing a home to drive occupancy
• Experience of managing a luxury care home with high % of privately funded residents
• Inspirational leadership skills
• A passion for person centred care
• A successful track record of developing and motivating teams to deliver outstanding care
• Excellent organisational and management skills
• A strong understanding of safeguarding, CQC and compliance guidelines

Responsibilities

• Drive recruitment for the home and build a new team
• Work with the new builds projects team and support services to introduce the home into the wider community
• Lead the home through its first inspection and establish best-in-class care
• Deliver outstanding personalised care and continuously improve service quality
