Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Commissioning Home Manager to lead a brand-new care home build and launch. You will recruit, develop a high-performing team and establish the home’s identity in the local community to drive occupancy and prepare for initial inspections.

Successful candidates will have proven leadership in care homes, a strong focus on person-centred care, and experience in marketing to privately funded residents.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing/opening a new build home.
• Community engagement and marketing to drive occupancy.
• Experience managing a luxury care home with high privately funded residents.
• Strong leadership with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
• Passion for person-centred care and continuous improvement.
• Solid understanding of safeguarding and compliance guidelines (CQC).

Responsibilities

• Recruit and build a brand-new team for the home.
• Collaborate with projects team to integrate the home into the community.
• Drive occupancy through marketing and community engagement.
• Lead operations to deliver Good/Outstanding care and pass inspections.
