Job summary

Barchester Healthcare in Tenterden seeks a Commissioning Home Manager to lead the opening of a new build home. You will recruit and develop a brand new team, implement person-centred care, and drive occupancy and community engagement to deliver outstanding care from day one.

Experience in managing new builds, safeguarding and CQC compliance is essential, as is inspirational leadership and a track record of delivering Good or Outstanding ratings.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing/opening a new build.
• Community engagement and marketing a home to drive occupancy.
• Experience of managing a luxury care home with a high percentage of privately funded residents.
• Inspirational leadership skills.
• A passion for person centred care.
• A successful track record of developing and motivating teams to deliver outstanding care.
• Excellent organisational and management skills.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding, CQC and compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive recruitment for the home and build a new care team.
• Lead and develop a brand-new team to deliver high-quality care.
• Work with new builds projects team and support services to integrate the home into the wider community.
• Set foundations and drive the home through its first inspection.
