Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Commissioning Editor to join our team, developing English learning materials for global English language learning markets. We are a forward‑thinking team who enjoy working collaboratively and sharing ideas. With colleagues located around the world, we strive to foster strong connections despite the physical distance. As a Commissioning Editor in this team, you will have a varied role, leading and empowering internal and external editorial teams to ensure projects are delivered to plan and in alignment with business strategies. You will collaborate with the Product Owner and other cross‑functional stakeholders as a subject matter expert focused on design and delivery. Ultimately, you will contribute to creating efficient propositions that address our customers' needs and enable business growth. This role offers an excellent opportunity for personal growth and development, as well as the chance to make a significant, positive contribution to English learning materials for customers worldwide. This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40‑60% of their time collaborating and connecting face‑to‑face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long‑term health condition.

Key Qualifications
  • Have knowledge of ELT pedagogy, theory, and practice, and be familiar with Product Management principles.
  • Have a proven track record of successfully working with cross‑functional teams, both internally and externally, across a range of ELT products, including print and digital.
  • Be able to contribute to long‑term plans while adapting to changing circumstances, with an eye for both detail and the bigger picture of our business context.
  • Have demonstrated success in delivering products that effectively meet customer needs.
