Job summary

MITSU Shoreditch in London is seeking a friendly Commis Waiter to support the front-of-house team in delivering seamless service and hospitality within a vibrant, all-day venue.

You’ll learn about the menu and drinks, assist waiters, set up and clear tables, and help with opening and closing duties in a busy Izakaya-inspired setting. This is an energetic role in a premium yet welcoming environment with room to grow.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience helpful but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong work ethic and team spirit.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting waiters in serving food and drinks to guests.
• Setting up and clearing tables efficiently.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining floor.
• Supporting guest needs during service, including refills and clearing plates.
• Helping with opening and closing duties.
• Learning and developing knowledge of the menu, drinks, and Mitsu standards.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the MITSU family as a Commis Waiter

Mitsu brings the spirit of Tokyo’s neighborhood izakaya to East London. Blending authentic Japanese techniques with British produce and Shoreditch energy, Mitsu is a premium yet approachable Japanese restaurant and bar. From robata grilling and kamameshi rice to DJ-led late nights and zero-waste philosophy, Mitsu is designed to be social, soulful, and unforgettable.

This is not a polished, corporate dining room. Mitsu has personality, warmth, and rhythm in an all-day-to-late-night place where locals, hotel guests, creatives, and friends gather.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and service-focused Commis Waiters to support the front-of-house team in delivering seamless service and exceptional hospitality.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting waiters in serving food and drinks to guests
