Job summary

MITSU is a vibrant restaurant concept in London’s Shoreditch, blending East London energy with East Tokyo izakaya craft. As Bartender, you will wow guests with exceptional service in our Mitsu bar and dining areas, contributing to a memorable guest experience and ensuring smooth service flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or boutique hotel/bar environments is desirable.
• Strong communication and guest service mindset.
• Able to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional quality service to guests in a fast, professional manner.
• Open, operate, and close the Bar Lounge to Mitsu standards.
• Maintain knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails and food offerings; training provided.
• Greet guests, take orders, serve and process payments according to Mitsu philosophy.
• Read tables and anticipate guest needs and preferences.

THE ROLE

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for wowing our guests with exceptional service and making them feel at home in our Aethosbar and Restaurant.

Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:

• Provide exceptional quality service to guests in a quick and efficient manner in line with hotel and brand standards
• Able to organize and orchestrate the opening, operation, and closing of the Bar Lounge
• A good working knowledge of all beverage products - particularly wine, liquor, and signature cocktails as well as a good working knowledge of all food products. (Excellent training will be given!)
• Greet guests, take orders, serve and take payment in line with Mitsu philosophy and standards
• Read tables and understand guest needs and dislikes

ABOUT YOU

• Ideally you would have previous restaurant experience with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination fine dining restaurant or cocktail lounge/bar.
• Have an open and approachable manner and thrive on interacting with people
• Have great communication skills, a sense of humour and a welcoming smile
• An understanding of what it takes to provide outstanding levels of guest service
• An eye for detail and be immaculately presented
