Job summary

Hoar Cross Hall is seeking a Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. You will support our chefs in delivering exceptional food while developing your own skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

In this role you’ll prepare vegetables, meat and fish, assist with stock ordering, maintain hygiene, and contribute ideas for seasonal menus. A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate and prior kitchen experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy professional kitchen
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and quality standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices
• Comfort working as part of a team in a hospitality environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare vegetables, meat and fish
• Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Assist with stock ordering and maintaining stock levels
• Ensure every dish meets our quality standards
• Follow all food hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
• Complete daily food and fridge temperature records
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness using schedules
• Contribute ideas for seasonal and monthly menus using fresh ingredients
