Job summary

Hoar Cross Hall is seeking a Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. You will support our chefs in delivering exceptional food while developing your own skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

In this role you’ll prepare vegetables, meat and fish, assist with stock ordering, maintain hygiene, and contribute ideas for seasonal menus. A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate and prior kitchen experience are essential.

• Previous experience in a busy professional kitchen
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and quality standards
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices
• Comfort working as part of a team in a hospitality environment

The Opportunity

You'll support our chefs in delivering exceptional food while developing your own skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

To be considered, you'll need:

• A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate


• Previous experience working within a busy professional kitchen

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Kitchen Team, you'll:

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience in a similar hospitality role


• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate


• Strong understanding of food hygiene and quality standards


• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen


• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices

Desirable

• Experience catering for high-volume service


• Strong communication and teamwork skills
