Job summary

Hoar Cross Hall, Staffordshire, is seeking a Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. Prepare vegetables, meat and fish; support the day-to-day running of the kitchen; assist with stock ordering and maintaining stock levels to ensure quality.

You’ll need Level 2 Food Safety and experience in a busy kitchen; you must work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate teamwork. The position offers £28,866.15 per year, 45 hours weekly, and extensive staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is required.
• Experience in a busy professional kitchen.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vegetables, meat and fish.
• Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Assist with stock ordering and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure every dish meets our quality standards.
• Follow all food hygiene and Health & Safety procedures.
• Complete daily food and fridge temperature records.
• Maintain excellent kitchen cleanliness using cleaning schedules.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal and monthly menus using fresh ingredients.
