Job summary

Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire is seeking a Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. You will support senior chefs in delivering high-quality dishes while developing your skills in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment.

You’ll need a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate and experience in a busy professional kitchen. The role involves 45 hours per week, with shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy professional kitchen.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and quality standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vegetables, meat and fish.
• Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Assist with stock ordering and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure every dish meets our quality standards.
• Follow all food hygiene and Health & Safety procedures.
• Complete daily food and fridge temperature records.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness using cleaning schedules.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal and monthly menus.
