Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Ascot is seeking a Commis Chef to join our team. The role offers full-time, permanent employment with a salary of £25,000 per year and 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday in a school catering environment.

You will work with fresh seasonal ingredients, create dishes to order and support our established menus while maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service. Training and development are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate verbal English proficiency.
• Reasonable written English and reading skills.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide breakfast, lunch and hospitality service in a team.
• Prepare food from scratch using fresh ingredients following brand standards.
• Adhere to food hygiene, health and safety policies and allergen controls.
• Assist with pot wash duties and maintain cleanliness.
• Deliver excellent customer service and be a great team player.
