Job summary

Manpower UK seeks a Commis Chef or Chef De Partie for an established restaurant in Bicester, Oxfordshire. This permanent, full-time position requires flexibility to work five days out of seven, including evenings and weekends. The salary ranges from £26,000 to £34,000 per annum, plus tips, dependent on experience.

The role pays £26,000-£34,000pa, depending on experience. (Plus Tips). A valid driving licence is essential due to the remote location.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
• Allergen awareness training.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry), ensuring smooth service and consistent food quality.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety within your section.
• Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu preparation, development, and daily kitchen operations.
• Monitor portion control and minimise food waste to support cost management.
• Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Support stock control, including ordering, rotation, and inventory checks.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods, maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
• Step up to support other sections or senior chefs when required.

Manpower Recruitment are working with an established Restaurant in the Bicester area, Oxfordshire and are looking for a Commis Chef or Chef De Partie.

This role is a full time role, working 5/7 days, including weekends and evenings, so flexibility is needed.

Job Overview
