The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking an experienced Commis Chef to join its exceptional team in Belfast. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a recently opened boutique hotel renowned for its dining experiences and outstanding kitchen standards.

You will support a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards, while maintaining meticulous hygiene and safety practices. Growth within a supportive team is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel kitchen, preferably as a Commis Chef.
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen.
• Assist in the preparation and production of dishes in a timely and organised manner.
• Follow the guidance and specifications set by the Head Chef to ensure consistency.
• Maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.
• Keep kitchen clean and well-organised, and report maintenance issues promptly.

The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking an experienced Commis Chef to join its exceptional team. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in Belfast's recently opened boutique hotel.

Who Are We?

The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, The Nineteen Hundred Restaurant and Cafe Bar, and exclusive private dining in The Ledger Library. The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

You will support the kitchen team in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen. As a Commis Chef, you will assist in the preparation and production of dishes in a timely and organised manner, helping to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will take pride in your work, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and consistently follow the guidance and specifications set by the Head Chef.

• Ensure all food is prepared, presented and served to a high standard and in keeping with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ensure ordering is accurate and all fridges, freezers and all food storage is stock rotated.
• Follow the specifications set out by the Head Chef to ensure consistency.
• Support the kitchen team, whilst maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen operation.
• Ensure that you are correctly dressed and adhere to high personal hygiene standards.
• Comply with all regulations as stated in the normal operating procedures.
• Ensure all maintenance issues are reported immediately following the correct procedure.
