Charnwood Borough Council is seeking a Contracts (Leisure, Waste and Environment) service professional to protect and grow income from commercial, garden and bulky waste. You will be the single point of contact for local businesses, driving new accounts and ensuring compliance with waste law, with a 37-hour week and hybrid working.

The role requires a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits. It offers agile working, generous annual leave and local government pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management, environmental services, contract monitoring or similar roles.
• Understanding of trade waste compliance and Duty of Care requirements.
• Ability to meet financial targets and manage income risk.
• Strong relationship-building skills with diverse business stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Manage commercial waste income against budget targets, focusing on client retention and winning new trade waste accounts.
• Ensure services comply with environmental legislation and waste regulations.
• Act as the primary single point of contact for businesses and stakeholders.
• Plan and deliver commercial, bulky and garden waste collections across the calendar year.
