Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager / National Account Manager for a leading food manufacturer in the UK. You will manage a major Retailer/Grocery account (~70M portfolio) and drive profitable growth through strategic account planning and strong commercial execution.

Reporting to Sales Director, you will negotiate contracts, develop joint business plans, and collaborate with NPD, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver product launches and market insights.

A leading Food Manufacturer is currently looking for a Senior Commercial Manager / Senior National Account Manager with Grocery / Retailer experience to join their team. Reporting into the Sales Director, this Senior National Account Manager will need a proven track record in delivering profitable sales growth through effective account management, strategic customer development and strong commercial execution.

Senior Commercial Manager / National Account Manager responsibilities include:

• Manage and develop a major Retailer / Grocery account with an approx portfolio size of 70M.
• Deliver sales, volume and margin targets through effective account planning.
• Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts and annual agreements.
• Develop and execute joint business plans with customers.
• Analyse sales performance, market trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
• Work closely with NPD, Finance and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer requirements and successful product launches.
• Provide accurate forecasting and market insight to support business planning.

You will be a Senior Commercial Manager / Senior National Account Manager with proven experience with former Grocery / Retailer Account Management experience and ideally in a chilled food product category.

You will be able to demonstrable proven track record of delivering sales growth and commercial targets and have excellent negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills.

Full UK driving licence is required.
