Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)

Remote – UK

Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k

Key responsibilities:

• Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy that supports sales performance and is reproducible across the sales team as the business grows.
• Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, revenue, and account management.
• Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, enhancing the commercial performance of our products.
• Direct sales: To lead sales campaigns personally.
• Client management: To manage or oversee key accounts, ensuring objectives are documented and managed. To oversee the process for managing rebook meetings.
• Commercial analysis: To analyze vendor marketplaces, categorize companies, and research new sales leads.
• Sales marketing: To collaborate with production, content, and marketing teams to design and implement a new sales marketing strategy leveraging business intelligence.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 5+ years in a commercial role within a B2B events/media business, with experience in high-value B2B solution sales.
• Performance: Proven track record of meeting commercial targets and recognized as a high performer.
• Product experience: Experience selling live, face-to-face events, digital products like webinars or reports, and large B2B events including sponsorship and exhibition booths.
• Sales knowledge: Understanding of sales styles and techniques, with experience in training sales professionals a plus.
• Strategy: Experience in developing and executing sales plans and contributing to business and product strategy.
