Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)
Remote – UK
Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k
Key responsibilities:
- Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy that supports sales performance and is reproducible across the sales team as the business grows.
- Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, revenue, and account management.
- Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, enhancing the commercial performance of our products.
- Direct sales: To lead sales campaigns personally.
- Client management: To oversee key accounts and ensure objectives are documented and managed. To oversee rebook meetings.
- Commercial analysis: To analyze vendor marketplaces, categorize companies, and research new leads.
- Sales marketing: To collaborate with production, content, and marketing teams to design and implement sales strategies leveraging team-generated business intelligence.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 5+ years in a commercial role within a B2B events/media business, with high-value B2B solution sales experience.
- Performance: Proven track record of meeting targets and perceived as a high performer.
- Product experience: Experience selling live, face-to-face events, digital products like webinars or reports, and large B2B events including sponsorship and exhibition booths.
- Sales knowledge: Understanding of sales techniques and styles, experience in training sales teams is a plus.
- Strategy: Experience in creating and executing sales plans and contributing to business strategy.
