Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)
Remote – UK
Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k
Key responsibilities:
- Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy and approaches that support sales performance, and that is reproducible across a sales team as the business grows.
- Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, sales revenue, and account management.
- Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, strengthening the commercial performance of our products.
- Direct sales: To personally lead sales campaigns.
- Client management: To manage or oversee the management of key accounts in the business and ensure that client objectives are documented and managed against. To also oversee the process for managing client rebook meetings.
- Commercial analysis: To analyse vendor marketplaces, categorise companies and research new sales leads.
- Sales marketing: To work with our production, content and marketing team to design and implement a new sales marketing strategy, leveraging business intelligence generated across the team.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 5+ years in a commercial role at a B2B events/media business, with experience in high-value B2B solution sales.
- Performance: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding commercial targets and recognized as a high performer.
- Product sales experience: Selling live, face-to-face events, digital products like webinars or reports, and large B2B events involving sponsorship and exhibition booths.
- Sales knowledge: Understanding of various selling styles and techniques, with experience in training sales professionals being a plus.
- Strategic planning: Experience in developing and executing sales plans, and contributing to business and product strategy.
