Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)
Remote – UK
Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k
Key responsibilities:
- Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy and approaches that support sales performance, and that is reproducible across a sales team as the business grows.
- Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, sales revenue, and account management.
- Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, strengthening the commercial performance of our products.
- Direct sales: To personally lead sales campaigns.
- Client management: To manage or oversee the management of key accounts in the business and ensure that client objectives are documented and managed against. To also oversee the process for managing client rebook meetings.
- Commercial analysis: To analyse vendor marketplaces, categorise companies, and research new sales leads.
- Sales marketing: To work with our production, content, and marketing team to design and implement a new sales marketing strategy, leveraging business intelligence generated across the team.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 5+ years succeeding in a commercial role at a B2B events/media business. Experience of high-value B2B solution sales is essential.
- High performance: Demonstrable track record of achieving commercial targets throughout your career. Perceived as a high performer in previous roles.
- Product expertise: Experience in selling live, face-to-face events, and digital products such as webinars or reports. Selling large B2B events, sponsorship, and exhibition booths.
- Sales knowledge: Understanding of sales styles and techniques, and experience in training and developing sales professionals is a plus.
- Strategy: Experience in building and executing sales plans and contributing to business/product strategy.
