Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)
Remote – UK
Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k
Key responsibilities:
- Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement structured sales strategies that support performance and are reproducible across the sales team as the business grows.
- Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to activity, revenue, and account management.
- Product conception and delivery: To represent clients in internal discussions, enhancing the commercial performance of products.
- Direct sales: To lead sales campaigns personally.
- Client management: To oversee management of key accounts and ensure objectives are documented and managed. To oversee client rebook meetings.
- Commercial analysis: To analyze vendor marketplaces, categorize companies, and research new leads.
- Sales marketing: To collaborate with production, content, and marketing teams to design and implement sales strategies leveraging business intelligence.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 5+ years in a commercial role at a B2B events/media business, with high-value B2B solution sales experience.
- Performance: Proven track record of meeting targets; perceived as a high performer.
- Product experience: Experience selling live events, digital products like webinars/reports, large B2B events, sponsorships, and exhibition booths.
- Sales knowledge: Understanding of sales techniques and experience in training sales professionals.
- Strategy: Experience in building and executing sales plans and contributing to business strategy.
