Commercial Manager – Sponsorship (Conference Background)
Remote – UK
Base Up to 55,000+ OTE £100k
Key responsibilities:
- Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy and approaches that support sales performance, and that is reproducible across a sales team as the business grows.
- Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, sales revenue, and account management.
- Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, strengthening the commercial performance of our products.
- Direct sales: To personally lead out sales campaigns.
- Client management: To manage or oversee the management of key accounts in the business and ensure that client objectives are documented and managed against. To also oversee the process for managing client rebook meetings.
- Commercial analysis: To analyse vendor marketplaces, categorise companies and research new sales leads.
- Sales marketing: To work with our production, content and marketing team to design and implement a new sales marketing strategy, leveraging business intelligence generated across the team.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 5+ years succeeding in a commercial role at a B2B events/media business. Experience of high-value B2B solution sales is essential.
- High performance: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding commercial targets. Recognized as a high performer in previous roles.
- Product experience: Experience selling live, face-to-face events, and digital products such as webinars or reports. Experience selling large B2B events, including sponsorship and exhibition booths.
- Sales knowledge: Understanding of sales techniques, styles, and training/development of sales professionals is a plus.
- Strategy: Experience building and executing sales plans and contributing to business or product strategy.
