Job summary

ER Recruitment seeks a Commercial Manager in Leicester to lead the senior team, shape growth strategy across cleaning services and consumables, and drive profitability. You will partner with the CEO and Business Development Manager to win new business, expand relationships and ensure scalable operations.

The role offers a pathway to Director-level roles within an ambitious SME, with a profit-related bonus, car allowance, and generous holiday.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a senior leadership or management role within an SME or growing service-led business.
Track record of driving business growth and delivering measurable commercial results.
Strong commercial and financial awareness with ability to improve profitability and control costs.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver the growth strategy with the CEO across clean-related services and consumables.
Generate new business and strengthen existing customer relationships with the Business Development Manager.
Align sales activity with operations to ensure capacity and resources delivery for contracts.
Lead and develop the management team to foster a proactive, collaborative culture.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue, margins and efficiency in the business.
Support systems, processes and IT solutions to improve service delivery and cost control.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships and monitor performance against contracts.
Oversee operational performance and ensure service standards meet commitments.
Contribute to longer-term strategic planning and succession planning, with potential MD progression.
