CBW Staffing Solutions Limited is hiring a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer for Manchester and surrounding areas. The role focuses on servicing, fault-finding, repairs and minor installations across commercial sites within a facilities management context.

You will work independently and in small teams, covering Manchester, Liverpool and nearby locales, with a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri) and an occasional out-of-hours on-call rota. Benefits include 25 days leave and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial gas appliances and systems.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities on mechanical/electrical faults.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Servicing and maintenance of commercial gas appliances and systems (boilers, heaters, pipework).
• Perform routine inspections and safety checks for compliance and efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical faults to minimize downtime and maximise safety.
• Conduct gas leak tests and carbon monoxide checks to identify hazards.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and contractors for complex repairs or upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Manchester - National Facilities Management Organisation: HVAC contractor

CBW Staffing Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities management organisation, on a permanent basis. You'll carry out servicing, fault-finding, repairs and minor installations on a range of commercial heating systems across commercial sites.

You will be working both independently and occasionally as part of a small team, covering Manchester, Liverpool & surrounding areas.

Package:

• Competitive salary between £46,000 and £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Bonus for achieved objectives based on achievable targets
• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
• Participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintenance of a variety of commercial gas appliances and systems, including boilers, heaters, and pipework
• Perform routine inspections and safety checks to ensure gas systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with industry standards
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in gas appliances, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety
• Conduct gas leak tests and carbon monoxide checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Gas Safe Register certification and relevant qualifications (e.g. ACS, COCN1, CODNCO1)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of commercial gas appliances, systems, and regulations
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and customer service skills
