Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to cover Manchester, with duties across servicing, fault-finding, repairs and minor installations on commercial heating systems.

You will work independently and in small teams, servicing sites within Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding areas. The role includes an on-call rota, a 40-hour week, and training opportunities to develop your skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer in FM.
• Gas Safe Register certification and ACS/COCN1/CODNCO1 qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence and clean safety record.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintenance of commercial gas appliances and systems.
• Perform routine safety checks and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical faults in gas systems.
• Conduct gas leak tests and CO checks to mitigate hazards.
• Coordinate complex repairs with other maintenance staff.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Manchester - National Facilities Management Organisation: HVAC contractor

CBW Staffing Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities management organisation, on a permanent basis. You'll carry out servicing, fault-finding, repairs and minor installations on a range of commercial heating systems across commercial sites.

You will be working both independently and occasionally as part of a small team, covering Manchester, Liverpool & surrounding areas.

Package:

• Competitive salary between £46,000 and £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)

• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)


• Participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintenance of a variety of commercial gas appliances and systems, including boilers, heaters, and pipework


• Perform routine inspections and safety checks to ensure gas systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with industry standards


• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in gas appliances, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety


• Conduct gas leak tests and carbon monoxide checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards


• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades


• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry


• Gas Safe Register certification and relevant qualifications (e.g. ACS, COCN1, CODNCO1)


• Full UK driving licence


• Strong knowledge of commercial gas appliances, systems, and regulations


• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
