Job summary
The National Trust is seeking a Commercial Assistant Manager to support the Commercial Manager, uphold high standards in outlets and food and drink, and drive service improvements for visitors.
You will help recruit, train and develop the team, ensure compliance with legislation and NT policies, and work on budgeting to increase income while controlling costs.
The role offers induction and training, plus development opportunities and a generous benefits package.
Qualifications
- Outstanding customer service in a similar environment.
- Good leadership of people, setting objectives and giving feedback.
- Experience with budgets to increase income and control costs (stock and waste).
- People person with friendly attitude and strong communication skills.
- Awareness of health and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Commercial Manager and help oversee the operation, outlets, and food and drink to maintain high standards for visitors.
- Support recruitment and training, developing the team and ensuring policy adherence.
- Set and achieve financial targets to drive income and profits through efficient resource use and customer service excellence.
- Provide induction and training in allergens and food safety, with mentoring for role development.
