Job summary

The Milk Churn in Melksham is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to join our busy country pub team. You will ensure smooth shift operations, lead colleagues, and provide excellent guest experiences while supporting the GM in day-to-day leadership and staff development.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.90, a share of tips, 60% off meals on duty, and clear progression paths toward general management within Hall & Woodhouse’s community pubs.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in hospitality
• Able to manage shift opening/closing and safety procedures
• Ambitious to develop towards general manager (GM)

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift opening and closing, security and safety procedures.
• Lead and support team to deliver great guest experiences.
• Balance operations with schedule and task management during busy periods.
• Contribute to developing team members and talent within the pub.
