Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a College Caretaker for a FE College in Essex/East London on a temporary basis. The role is 37 hours per week across a 3-shift pattern (06:30-14:30, 11:00-19:00, 14:30-22:30) with a pay rate of £18-£19 per hour (Ltd). Location is Essex/East London.

DBS is required or willing to undertake one. The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness, security and safety of the premises and assist in estates maintenance across all college sites, handling porterage, basic repairs and

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE Grade C/5 or equivalent.
COSHH awareness.
Experience in building trades and practical work.
Good organisational skills with ability to adapt to changing workloads.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation and standards.

Responsibilities

Operate on a 3-shift pattern: 06:30–14:30 / 11:00–19:00 / 14:30–22:30.
Carry out porterage, minor painting/decorating, carpet tiling and room reconfigurations.
Manage estates helpdesk tickets and communications.
Set intruder alarms for nightly lock-up to ensure security and safety.
Log and report breakages and carry out repairs to a safe standard.
Carry out routine administrative tasks as required.
