Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Maintenance Facilities Operative for a FE College in East London. The role involves supporting the Facilities Manager with keeping premises safe, clean, and presentable, and carrying out basic maintenance tasks across campus.

You will work 35 hours per week, Mon to Fri, at £18–£20 per hour PAYE, on a 3-month contract with possible extension. DBS on update service is required or applicants must be willing to apply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths are required.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Willingness to undertake role-related training (HS&E, safeguarding, facilities procedures).
• Relevant facilities, caretaking or health & safety training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager to keep premises safe, clean and presentable.
• Undertake basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, painting & decorating, and carpentry.
• Carry out cross-campus deliveries as required.
