Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a Caretaker and Estates Operative to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming campus at Rotherham College. You will participate in a shift pattern, secure premises, assist with room setup and deliveries, and support safety and emergency procedures.

The role requires prior experience in maintenance/security/caretaking (ideally in education) and a Level 2 English and Maths qualification (or willingness to obtain). Morning and afternoon shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance/security/caretaking (ideally in education)
• Willingness to work toward Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift rota to ensure Estates presence on campus and secure premises
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of buildings and grounds
• Keep corridors and fire exits clear to promote safety
• Prepare rooms for use and assist with moves or furniture rearrangements
• Ensure timely delivery of post and parcels within campus
• Support routine maintenance and suggest improvements
• Respond to emergencies including evacuations and lift breakdowns
• Provide First Aid as required
