Job summary

Proman UK is looking for 2 Caretakers to join the team at a School site. This is a hands-on role covering site security, maintenance, porterage, and general facilities support.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week at £14.00 per hour PAYE (negotiable for the right candidate) on a temporary contract with immediate start and occasional weekend work. Duties include opening/closing, fire alarm testing, contractor management, and health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required
• Previous caretaking, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Must be flexible with shift patterns
• Own safety boots/shoes required (PPE provided)

Responsibilities

• Opening and locking the school
• General building maintenance and minor repairs
• Fire alarm testing and routine site checks
• Site security patrols
• Porterage and room set-ups
• Managing contractors and visitor sign-ins
• Responding to day-to-day school requests
• Ensuring Health & Safety and COSHH compliance
