A prestigious university in Northern Ireland is seeking a Grade 7 Collections Management team member to manage loans and conservation programs. Responsibilities include developing collections management policies, as well as supporting various UCL departments. Candidates should have expertise in collections management and strong stakeholder engagement skills. This role offers a salary between £43,981 and £52,586 per annum and has flexible, hybrid working options.

The LCCOS family comprises 4 museums and allied object collections, 14 libraries, the UCL Student Centre, Special Collections facilities, multiple additional learning spaces, the Bloomsbury Theatre and a substantial off‑site storage facility. We also provide comprehensive services to healthcare staff through our partnerships with 6 NHS Trusts. LCCOS holds the UK Customer Service Excellence (CSE) Award, The National Archives (TNA) Archives Service Accreditation, and Arts Council England Museum Accreditation. The combined staff in UCL LCCOS totals around 440.
The Collection Management team within LCCOS Museums & Cultural Programmes directly manages our loans and collections care & conservation programmes. We are responsible for object storage, transportation, documentation and policy and procedure alongside managing our flagship teaching space the Object Based Learning Laboratory.
Core duties and responsibilities include administration of long and short‑term loans, acquisitions, and disposals. The post holder will develop and implement collections management policies and procedures and contribute to strategic planning as well as provide support to other UCL collection holding departments.
This is a Grade 7 role, with salary scales £43,981‑£52,586 per annum (calculated pro‑rated amount for part‑time hours, inclusive of London Allowance).
We will consider applications to work on a part‑time, flexible and job share basis wherever. This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 60% on site.
