Job summary

Lineage Heywood site is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to oversee a fast-paced coldstore operation, ensuring safe practices, accurate dispatch, and on-schedule orders. You will lead a team of operatives, manage daily pick activities, and drive continuous improvement in a 4 on 4 off night shift environment.

The role requires experience in temperature-controlled warehouses, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a coldstore or temperature-controlled environment.
• Proven experience with pick operations within a warehouse/logistics setting.
• A proactive and confident approach to leadership, with a passion for team development.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and support weekend operations when required.
• Fluency in English and good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring performance, safety, and efficiency standards are consistently met.
• Oversee and coordinate daily operations in the coldstore, including the pick operation - prior experience in picking processes is essential.
• Manage shift plans and resource allocation to keep workflows smooth and on schedule.
• Monitor inbound/outbound movements, stock accuracy, and product integrity.
• Operate and coordinate with material handling equipment (MHE), resolving any issues promptly to avoid downtime.
• Maintain clear and open communication across departments, supporting continuous improvement and high team morale.
• Address employee concerns, contribute to team development, and ensure a safe working environment.
