Qualifications

  • Apprentice-trained electrical/mechanical engineer (minimum City & Guilds / BTEC Level 3).
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fault finding, installation, and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete job changes for inspection and packing machinery within agreed timescales.
  • Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and regulations.

Job Title: Cold End Change Team - Team Member

Location: Cold End Production

Shift Pattern: Days (Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm)

Salary: £40,600

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Cold End Change Team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring efficient job changes, maintaining machinery, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete job changes for inspection and packing machinery within agreed timescales.
  • Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and regulations.
  • Maintain machinery in safe working condition and optimal performance after adjustments or repairs.
  • Provide effective breakdown and preventative maintenance services, including sourcing or manufacturing parts as needed.
  • Support out-of-hours and weekend breakdowns or job change setups when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and help establish standard procedures.
What We’re Looking For
  • Apprentice-trained electrical/mechanical engineer (minimum City & Guilds / BTEC Level 3).
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fault finding, installation, and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in FMCG or glass industry preferred.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English & Science (Grades A-C).
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and confident with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Logical and analytical thinker with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with change and committed to continuous improvement.
