Job summary

National Trust is seeking a Welcome Manager (Band 1) to lead our visitor welcome operation across Gower’s iconic sites, including Rhossili and Pennard. You’ll manage a team of seasonal staff and volunteers, provide clear direction and day-to-day leadership, and act as Duty Manager to ensure safe, high-quality visitor experiences.

The role requires flexible working across peak periods, with weekend and bank holiday work, and a commitment to health, safety and risk management.

• Confident managing busy visitor operations and responding to challenges.
• Strong organisational, problem solving and communication skills.

• Share passion for nature, heritage and conservation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of seasonal staff and volunteers across Rhossili and Pennard sites.
• Provide clear direction, coaching and day-to-day leadership.
• Act as Duty Manager for the site and ensure safe operation of facilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and manage visitor welcome facilities and car parks.
• Coordinate seasonal staffing and support volunteer involvement.
• Maintain health, safety and risk management standards.
