Job summary

Marine Hotel Ballycastle is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the team and drive performance across all hotel operations, with a strong focus on delivering memorable guest experiences and a vibrant food and beverage proposition.

You will be highly visible across the property, partner with regional and central teams, develop and manage budgets and forecasts, and build a high-performing, inclusive hospitality culture that supports the hotel’s growth and local community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience as GM or senior hotel leader in a quality hotel.
• Strong hands-on F&B background with dining experiences.
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience.
• Visible, hands-on leadership style.
• Strong budgeting and profitability management.
• Experience in NI hospitality market advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, visible leadership across all areas of the hotel.
• Take ownership of financial and operational performance.
• Lead the development and delivery of a high-quality F&B experience.
• Drive revenue across restaurant, bar, events while maintaining cost control.
• Build the hotel’s reputation as a destination for residents and visitors.
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts and commercial plans.
• Monitor payroll, purchasing, margins and departmental profitability.
• Maintain high standards of guest service, presentation and operational delivery.
• Recruit, develop and retain a talented hotel team.
• Create an inclusive working culture and strong team engagement.
• Collaborate with regional and central support to meet wider objectives.
• Ensure health and safety, licensing and legal compliance.
• Build relationships with local businesses and tourism partners.
