Jacobs is seeking a leader to drive coastal, maritime and FCERM projects in the UK. You will guide teams across the full lifecycle from concept to handover, ensuring robust design and successful delivery for major clients.

The role emphasizes technical excellence, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on safety, quality, and ongoing development within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Civil Engineer with coastal, maritime or FCERM project experience.
  • Proven technical, engineering and project delivery track record.
  • Established client engagement with Environment Agency, local authorities, contractors or infrastructure owners.
  • Understanding of technical, commercial and stakeholder challenges in coastal/flood risk infrastructure.
  • Ability to lead meetings and deliver high-quality technical outputs.
  • Experience with financial control, milestones, risk mitigation and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead inter-discipline and multi-office teams in coastal, maritime and FCERM projects.
  • Provide technical leadership, governance, mentoring and career development for the team.
  • Oversee resources, programme performance, design integration, interfaces and risk management.
  • Utilise collaborative digital delivery and BIM approaches where appropriate.
  • Champion safety integration across design and engineering activities.
